- NOTES AND COMMENTS:
-
- Practicing Math is NOT designed to teach anything, although you could possibly
- learn from trial and error method because the answer is given after 3 tries.
-
- Practicing Math was designed to help the user to master the concept by providing
- practice problems much as a workbook would do. It is intended as an aid to
- the traditional way of teaching.
-
- Unfortunately, it was not possible with this version to include every possible
- mathematical concept found in the various math teachings. Practicing Math
- touches upon most of the basic principals that are necessary to do most of the
- more difficult concepts. One could think of it as a beginner's tool to help
- one master the basics that are necessary for all problem solving.
-
- The order of the concepts in the menus is not necessarily the same order that
- teachers and/or schools recommend to learn. (And the hints that are given in
- the registered version are not necessarily the first step necessary to solve
- the problem. The steps necessary to solve the problem are entirely up to the
- user. The program does NOT stress any order of problem solving and/or
- precedence of one way of solving over another. How user goes about arriving
- at right/wrong answer (with or without program given hints) is user dependent.
- Proper mathematical techniques are the responsibility of the user, parent,
- teacher, institution, or other authority.)
-
- It is highly stressed that USERREF.DOC be read and printed (if possible) for
- future reference BEFORE running the program. Although program is user friendly,
- it was not possible to include everything in the help file that the program
- does. The help file consists of a very brief overview of what to do. The
- help file stresses reference to USERREF.DOC and should be heeded.
-
- Thank you.
